Board of Review Organizational Meeting

The March Board of Review has an organizational meeting every year on the Tuesday following the first Monday in March. The objective of the organizational meeting is to review the current year assessment roll, make changes to the roll as deemed appropriate, and review hearing schedules for the upcoming Board of Review. The Board of Review is not required to receive and hear taxpayers at this meeting. Board of review hearing dates and times are scheduled by appointment only, further information regarding these dates will accompany the 2021 assessment change notice that you will receive in the mail prior to the end of February. Due to current MDHHS orders, this meeting will be held virtually, via Zoom

Michigan Relay is a communications system that allows hearing persons and deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired persons to communicate by telephone. Users may reach Michigan Relay by dialing 7-1-1 and then connection with Zoom conference number above. There is no additional charge to use this service. Please contact with any other requests for accommodations. Public comments can also be submitted by email to be shared with the Board.

According to the Attorney General, interrupting a public meeting in Michigan with hate speech or profanity could result in criminal charges under several State statutes relating to Fraudulent Access to a Computer or Network (MCL 752.797) and/or Malicious Use of Electronics Communication (MCL 750.540).

According to the US Attorney for Eastern Michigan, Federal charges may include disrupting a public meeting, computer intrusion, using a computer to commit a crime, hate crimes, fraud, or transmitting threatening communications.

Public meetings are being monitored and violations of statutes will be prosecuted.
