The Charter Township of Brighton is seeking qualified candidates for a Treasury Assistant. The Treasury Assistant is responsible for providing general clerical support to the Treasurer’s Office including: helping residents at the counter, providing treasury services to the public, and assisting the Township Manager with special projects. Desired skills include, but are not limited to, a strong accounting background and experience in accounts receivable, processing property tax payments, utility payments, receipting, cash balancing, and preparation of bank deposits. Experience with QuickBooks desired. Strong communication and customer service skills are required. Hours average 28 hours per week with a rate of $16.90-$18.68 per hour DOQ.
